Hi! I’m Charlie Nicole, and I’ll be your trainer for this course on supporting the physical and intellectual development of children from birth to 60 months.
Learning Outcome:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the developmental stages from birth to 60 months and how these stages influence play and learning.
- Apply effective strategies to foster initiative and self-direction in young children, by allowing them to act independently, make choices, and take responsibility for their actions.
- Implement techniques to spark curiosity and interest in children aged 0-60 months by planning, observation, and engagement.
- Develop activities that enhance persistence and a child’s ability to continue working toward a goal despite challenges during play.
- Evaluate and adapt play-based learning environments and activities to meet the diverse needs of children, utilizing observation and documentation to reflect on and improve children’s play and learning experiences.
