Requirements

Criteria to Earn Credit

This is a certificate program. Upon completion participants will earn a certificate of completion. To earn credit for completing this training course, participants should read all material, take notes, and complete all the required assignments.

There is a final assessment at the end of this course. Participants will have two attempts to take the final assessment and must pass with a 70% or higher to earn credit. Please note there will be no extra attempts to retake the final assessment. Once you have started the final assessment, complete it without interruption.

Learning Outcome:

Understand the prevention of shaken baby syndrome in centers serving infants and toddlers.
Identify strategies to prevent abusive head trauma in childcare settings.
Recognize the signs of child maltreatment and learn effective prevention techniques.
Develop the skills to identify and report child abuse and neglect in compliance with state regulations.
Understand the prevention and control of infectious diseases, including the importance of immunizations in a childcare environment.
Learn the procedures for managing illnesses in both children and staff to maintain a safe and healthy childcare setting.
