Learning Outcome

1️⃣ Identify 15 childhood preventable infectious diseases.
2️⃣ Define Bloodborne pathogens.
3️⃣ Recognize the signs and symptoms of childhood infectious diseases.
4️⃣ Demonstrate what measures to take if a child contracts one of these illnesses and how to prevent it through basic hygiene and cleanliness.
5️⃣ Report certain types of infectious diseases to the health department.

There is no prerequisite for this training course.

Requirements

Criteria to Earn Credit

This is a certificate program. Upon completion participants will earn a certificate of completion. To earn credit for completing this training course, participants should read all material, take notes, and complete all the required assignments.

There is a final assessment at the end of this course. Participants will have two attempts to take the final assessment and must pass with a 70% or higher to earn credit.

Course Description:

This training course provides essential knowledge on preventing and managing childhood infectious diseases. Participants will learn to identify 15 preventable infections, define bloodborne pathogens, and recognize the signs and symptoms of these diseases. The course covers measures to take if a child contracts an illness, including hygiene practices to prevent spread, and instructions for reporting specific infectious diseases to the health department.
