Syllabus

Learning Outcome
During this training, participants will be able to identify the different types of challenging behavior in young children and ways to engage and support them to improve their behavior and build positive relationships. Learning objectives include:

  • Define the different forms of aggression.
  • Recognize characteristics of challenging behavior and identify ways to address it.
  • Create a positive support plan and implement strategies to build a positive social and emotional environment.
Material
It is recommended that participants take notes as they go through the course content. Materials needed include:

  • Writing Paper
  • A pen or pencil
Prerequisite
There is no prerequisite for this training course.
Requirements
  • While tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices may allow for some completion of coursework, they are not guaranteed to work in all areas. Please ensure you have access to a desktop or laptop to complete coursework.
  • Must have internet connection. High speed broadband access (LAN, Cable or DSL) is highly recommended for the optimal learning experience.

Certificate
This is a certificate program. Upon completion participants will earn a certificate of completion and continuing education units (CEU).
Criteria to Earn Credit
To receive credit for completing this course, participants should read all material, take notes, and complete all the required assignments. There is a final assessment at the end of this course. Participants will have two attempts to take the final assessment and must pass with a 70% or higher to earn credit. Please note there will be no extra attempts to retake the final assessment. Once you have started the final assessment, complete it without interruption. If you cannot pass the final assessment with a 70% or higher, we encourage you to consider taking another course that meets your requirements.
