Syllabus

Learning Outcome

Upon completing this course, participants will have learned how to keep infants and young children safe. Learning objectives include:

  1. Define abusive head trauma (AHT).
  2. Recognize the signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome.
  3. Discuss ways to calm an infant when they are crying uncontrollably.

There is no prerequisite for this training course.
Requirements

Criteria to Earn Credit
To receive credit for completing this course, participants should read all material, take notes, and complete all the required assignments. There is a final assessment at the end of this course. Participants will have two attempts to take the final assessment and must pass with a 70% or higher to earn credit. Please note there will be no extra attempts to retake the final assessment. Once you have started the final assessment, complete it without interruption. If you cannot pass the final assessment with a 70% or higher, we encourage you to consider taking another course that meets your requirements. If a customer wishes to retake the same course, they must wait 365 days from the registration date to purchase and retake the same course.
